‘I Was Simply White-Shamed’: Staff Member Takes Legal Action Against Over Fallout From Variety Training

An athletics instructor took legal action against the Hartford Board of Education, declaring that he was reprimanded for his negative views to the needed variety, equity and addition training.

John Grande, who has actually taught in the Hartford schools for more than 3 years, submitted the suit on Wednesday in Connecticut federal court versus the Board of Education, Leslie Torres-Rodriguez, the superintendent of Hartford Public Schools, Edward Wilson Jr., the personnel lawyer and executive director of internal examinations and security for the Hartford Public Schools, and Tracy Avicolli, the director of arts and health for Hartford Public Schools.
